Team PokerStars Members Pocket More Than $21 Million At The WSOP

PokerStars.com team members at the World Series Of Poker played impressively, bringing home more than $21 million collectively. Three PokerStars players were able to make it to the final table at the main event.

The world’’s largest poker tournament website, PokerStars.com, has once again proven its reputation as the premier gateway to the biggest competitions in poker. The 2006 World Series of Poker saw thousands of PokerStars players, almost 19 percent of the total playing field at this year’’s main event. Out of the 8,773 entries, 1,623 are members of team Pokerstars.

All in all, members of team PokerStars pocketed more than $21 million in the 46 open events that comprised the World Series of Poker.

In the final table were three PokerStars players, vying for the grand prize of $12 million. The three finalists earned a combined winning of $5.9 million. The three players are Doug Kim winning $2.3 million, Erik Friberg with $1.9 million and Dan Nassif with $1.5 million.

Defending champion Joe Hachem is also part of PokerStars, along with Humberto Brenes who placed 36th with $329,865.
